The Crown Inn, in the village of Dial Post, West Sussex is a free house offering real food and real ale with two ensuite B&B rooms with shower. Opposite the village green, the pub has a strong and well-established reputation for the excellent quality of its homemade food.
Creative Director and celebrated chef James, for many years travelled the world combining his love of skiing with his love of fine cooking. He eventually settled in Sussex, was instrumental in the development of gastro pubs in the county and formed a passion for Sussex people and Sussex life.
Supporting local farmers and producers, James prepares seasonally evolving dishes ranging from classic to innovative.
Penny, fourth generation of a local farming family, has an historic involvement in the business as her grandparents owned the same village pub in the late 60s and early 70s, and sister Jo and partner Spike of Clayfield Farm, Barns Green, rear the pigs and lambs that eventually end up in the kitchens…
